Nearly two weeks after Hurricane Lowell, Kauaʻi continues to find its footing.
Many of you have seen the images and heard the stories from across the island. The impacts have been real and significant for many families and communities. And alongside that hardship, we have witnessed something equally real — neighbors helping neighbors, organizations stepping forward, and the deep spirit of this place rising to meet the moment.
That is Kauaʻi. That has always been Kauaʻi.
Where Things Stand
Recovery efforts continue across the island. Power and essential services have been restored in many areas, and progress is being made every day. At the same time, some communities and families are still dealing with significant damage and displacement, and the work ahead remains substantial.
For visitors who are traveling to Kauaʻi or considering a visit, we ask that you come with patience, flexibility, and genuine respect for the areas that are still in the process of healing. Your presence and your support matter to our local economy — and so does your awareness of what our community is still going through.
Financial Assistance for Affected Households
We are grateful to share some very encouraging news for families impacted by the recent storms.
Applications are reviewed through the Hawaii REALTORS® Charitable Foundation and distributed through local REALTOR® Boards directly to approved families. Additional details and application information will be shared as soon as they are available.
If your household has been affected, please watch for application details through your local REALTOR® Board. The November 4 deadline is firm — we encourage affected families not to wait.
